ok, i'm still going to botswana, hopfully this year or next year whenever i've saved up enough money.
to get there, i'll have to travel to kl, take a plane to johannesburg, then another plane to garborone, then ground transport to jwaneng game reserve in the southern kalahari.
i figure i'll have to save up about $7000 for the whole trip, hmmm, maybe $8000, better to have more than less...
if i can get this sum of money by june or sept, i'll go or i'll just have to wait till next year. i really don't want to go in the summer with all the showers and the animals will be scattered and i won't be able to see so many of them.
this is 'a something i have to do before i die' kinda thing.
then i'm also thinking of taking up horse riding this year. i think $440 for a month's worth of lessons is quite alright and after that month i'll get my cert, then i'll just rent a horse once a month so it won't burn a huge hole in my purse.
hmmm, i guess i can call these my new year resolutions or call them the things i gotta do before i turn 30.
i can't believe i'll be turning 27 this year. i mean, just 13 more years and i'll be 40!
40 is so old.
fuck, now i'm just scaring myself half to death.
well, let's just hope by the time i'm 40 i'll be able to speak fluent french, ride horse and been to africa...
