ahhh.... after a tiring and perilous journey in mobile-land, i finally made it.

patrick and i went for his friend's wedding yesterday.

it was a small and cosy one where everyone's supposed to get drunk, humiliate yourself and vow not to see the same people for at least 3 months i think.

that didn't happen to most of us except the bride's father.

he was quite a sight.

the bride's mom turned crimson red after i don't know how many glasses of wine and champagne and the father turned green from too much wine, champagne and god knows what.

i spent a huge deal of time trying to get away from the bride's father who decided to blabber about drinking and happiness.

patrick and i got caught by surprise and were stuck with the old man for more than 20 mins talking about drinking and being happy.

that lead the old one to telling me about how i should take care of myself when i'm with the 'kwuai lous' in cantonese which i can't understand very well.

i felt like a character in joy luck club...

it was a really nice wedding though. patrick baked the wedding cake and everyone was full of praise for him. i was really proud of him! it was so good that the room was silent for the few mins when everyone was devouring the cake. it's not the normal cake that the shops sell. it has pastry sandwiching strawberries and mousse.

very nice.

he fed me some of the strawberries and pastry.

yummy...

then everyone started talking again once the cake was safely tucked into their tummies.

there was a lot of french exchanges which shot over my head and i didn't understand anything.

will brush up my french.

in the meantime, we're all waiting for the baby shower which should be due in 4 months time.

i love to smell newborns!
