a wimp!

i told my mum i'm going to kota kinabalu with galpals.

i'm trying not to get caught cos the dowager keeps piling up questions and i'm trying my darnest to keep outta her way till sunday.

then there was the most bimbotic travel agent i've met and hope never to meet again.

actually, i only talked to her over the phone.

moi: how much are the fares to colombo?

bimbo travel agent: 410 excluding tax.

moi: are you sure? i'm looking for a return ticket.

b.t.a: yes.

moi: so with tax that'll be 449, right?

(starts calculating) b.t.a: yeah

so i booked over the phone and told naked chef that i've found some fuckin' cheap airfare.

we were both elated.

a few days later, at 9am, i received a call from b.t.a who said that the fare should be 560 excluding tax.

bad news + a non-morning + pre-caffine state is not a good combination.

i was pretty mad but i had to cancel and start the dreaded airfare search again.

finally got the tickets at 555 inc tax.

phew.

and that was the saga with the b.t.a.
