i bought the chronicles of narnia yesterday and i'm almost done with it. it's addictive i tell ya. i'm sure it was the equal of the current x-box games. for most of you who know me, i almost never play compter games so yes, i'd really much rather tuck into a good book that i can't put down.
i was not feeling very good yesterday while patrick went off to meet fellow chefs and left me in the lurch. so i went shopping.
i bought two pairs of earrings from antipodean, some moisturiser and two books, one being the chronicles and narnia by cs lewis and the bell jar by sylvia plath.
i felt much happier after being a retail whore.
now that the cheetah project is nearer, i should actually start getting essentials for the trip. i really need a pair of binoculars but the one i'm coveting costs $269 or somewhat near that number. the saleslady managed to convince me that having one of a lesser quality will induce dizziness and the animals will not look as magnificient as they should.
i was lucky i was not in a mood to loosen my purse-strings and throw all my hard-earned money into the binoculars.
in the meantime, i'm shopping for binoculars, a sleeping bag, flashlight and possibly a big bag to stuff everything in.
